Mechanicsburg, PA., July 14. 2015
Children are the future of automobile racing and this Saturday Williams Grove Speedway honors youngsters of all ages with the annual Kids Night. Williams Grove Speedway management will present an evening of activities and racing for all children.
Kids Night began as a small event held in the speedway’s parking lot. It has grown into the largest event on the Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Series schedule.
Spectator gates will open at 4:30 PM allowing families the opportunity to visit the infield area. There the Saturday Night Series race teams will display their cars allowing everyone the chance to have an up-close look at the machinery. Drivers will be signing autographs and many of the teams will be giving away items to the children.
The infield area will also host a dunk tank, moon bounce plus various games. There will be goodie bags for all children. During the racing show numerous prizes will be given out.
At intermission bike and big wheel races will occur on the frontstretch. Race winners will receive a trophy and gift card.
Buffalo Wild Wings and their mascot Blaze will be part of the event. Big Brothers/Big Sisters will assist with the fun along with 2015 Ms. Motorsports Shelby Harper.
Entertaining the young fans will be the Blazer’s Body Shop Super Sportsman, Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Models and Aquafun Pools Street Stocks. A reminder to all competitors: pit gates will open at 4 PM to allow teams time to bring their cars to the infield.
This week Williams Grove Speedway, in honor of Kids Night, will donate their 50/50 money to the PTOs at Monroe and South Mountain Elementary Schools.
Race practice begins at 6:30 PM with qualifying commencing at 7:00 PM. Adult admission is $6 with children 12 and under free.
