Williams Grove Randy Wolfe Tribute Race Is May 27

Veteran Sprint Ace To Be Feted With 10K To Win All Stars Event!

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will honor veteran sprint car ace Randy Wolfe coming up on Friday, May 27 when the All Stars Circuit of Champions Sprints compete in the Randy Wolfe Tribute Race paying a hefty $10,000 to the winner.

Pre-race action in the infield will get underway at 5:45 featuring honoree Wolfe along with a number of his career car owners, spanning 1976 through 1999.

Interviews and a meet and greet will be conducted as part of a live broadcast.

Wolfe’s career is perhaps best remembered for his time spent at the wheel of the Keen Motorsports No. 5W in the 1980s.

Keen namesake Shawn Keen will attend the pre-race honors along with others such as owners Jim and Laura Allebach No. 75, Gene Jenkins No. 55, brothers Rick and Joe Woelfling No. 5W and Ken Cooper No. 25.

Currently sixth in Williams Grove points, second-generation driver Lucas Wolfe will also be on hand to honor his father with his own No. 5W machine on display.

Now 65, Wolfe amassed a total of 64 sprint car wins during his driving tenure including a lone URC victory.

At Williams Grove his career netted 11 checkered flags including victories in the Jack Gunn Memorial and the Early Bird Championship.

The All Stars will battle the Pennsylvania Posse in the 30-lap Wolfe Tribute Race as part of the 2022 Hoosier Diamond Series with action getting underway at 7:30 pm.

Gates will open at 5:30.

Fireworks will be part of the special holiday weekend program.

Adult general admission is set at $25 with youth ages 13-20 admitted for just $10 while kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.
