Rain Stops Williams Grove All Stars Gunn Memorial Twins Friday, Shaffer Tribute Race Is Next
Gunn Memorial to be part of Sept. 17 All Stars return
Mechanicsburg – Persistent rain prior to the start of action forced cancellation of the All Stars Circuit of Champions Jack Gunn Memorial Twin 20s at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, August 27.
As a result, the Jack Gunn Memorial will now be held as part of the Dirt Classic Qualifier when the All Stars return to the speedway on Friday, September 17.
The Jack Gunn Memorial Dirt Classic Qualifier will pay $7,000 to win on September 17 as part of the Hoosier Diamond Series at the track.
Coming up this Friday, September 3 at Williams Grove, VP Racing Fuels will present the Todd Shaffer Tribute Race for the 410 sprint cars paying $6,088 to win.
Shaffer's career will be feted prior to the race in the infield from 5:45 to 6:45 to include a live broadcast on BeerHill Gang TV.
VP Racing Fuels will award each race winner a VP Fuels fuel jug and a $50 gift certificate.
The 358 sprints are also on the early Autumn Friday racing program.
Adult general admission for September 3 is $20 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for $10.
Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.
