FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mechanicsburg – A Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint and Tool Shed of America 358 sprint doubleheader will be presented at Williams Grove Speedway this Friday, August 8 at 7:30 pm.
Both divisions will compete in full programs of qualifying heat races and features with lap and bonus money in effect for the 410 sprints.
Adult general admission for the 410/358 sprint double this week is $14 with youth priced at $8.
The show continues the march of the season deeper into August and closer to the point title finish line.
At this point it would appear as if the chase for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint championship is going to come down to current point leader Greg Hodnett and his closest pursuer Don Kreitz Jr.
Kreitz led the points as recently as the end of July before Hodnett went out front to start August.
Kevin Nouse is the current leader and the driver to beat in the 358 sprint title chase.
Following this week’s program, Williams Grove Speedway will present twin 20s for the 410 sprints on August 15 when the division will race in a pair of 20-lap main events.
The ARDC Midgets are also on the August 15 card as the oval hosts a full display of vintage cars from the EMMR.
Fireworks are also part of the program.
The twins are part of the 2014 Hoosier Diamond Series at Williams Grove.
Hodnett currently leads those standings over Lucas Wolfe.
Time trials will be used to set the grids for the twin 20-lap features.
Aside from Friday programs at the oval, the Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Series, offering racing action with the Super Sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks at 6:30 pm is in full swing.
Saturday Series adult admission is JUST $5. And please remember, kids ages 12 and under are always admitted free at Williams Grove Speedway!
