Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will host a tune-up for the upcoming STP World of Outlaws sprint car invasion, this Friday, July 11 at 7:30 pm.
The second visit by the traveling band of outlaws is set at Williams Grove, slated for Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19.
But this week at the oval in order to prep for the two-day WoO stand, the weekly Lawrence Chevrolet Williams Grove 410 sprint cars will contest a tune up race paying $4,000 to win.
The race will also be part of the 2014 Hoosier Diamond Series at the oval.
Beginning at 7:30 pm, time trials for the 410 sprint cars will set the starting grids for the night.
The feature event will be 25 laps in distance.
Also on the program will be the Tool Shed of America 358 sprint cars, including a 20 lap feature event.
And then the following week the STP World of Outlaws Summer Nationals will take center stage at Williams Grove, getting underway both nights at 7:30 pm.
The STP World of Outlaws and Pennsylvania Posse July match-up will be the second clash of the season between the bands with the third and final of the year slated at the track on October 3 and 4 for the prestigious Natonal Open.
Aside from Friday programs at the oval, the Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Series, offering racing action with the Super Sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks at 6:30 pm is in full swing.
Saturday Series adult admission is JUST $5. And please remember, kids ages 12 and under are always admitted free at Williams Grove Speedway!
