First outlaws visit of season to Grove slated for May 18 & 19

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will host the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars on two nights, coming up this Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19 at 7:30 pm.
The two-day outlaws stand at Williams Grove will be the circuit’s first appearances of the season at the track.
Friday’s racing will feature the World of Outlaws Sprint Car stars in a full program including a 25-lap main paying $8,000 to win.
Saturday’s program that includes the Morgan Cup presented by H & N Landscaping of Mechanicsburg, will include a 30-lap main that pays $12,000 to win to go along with another $5,000 for Morgan Cup bragging rights
Fireworks will be part of both shows.
Adult general admission each night is $30 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for $15.
Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.
The Morgan Cup will be taken possession of at the conclusion of Saturday’s main event, going to the defacto home of whichever group of drivers can lay claim to the event victor, whether it be an outlaw driver or a member of the Pennsylvania Posse.
The cup and laurels are bestowed each season in honor of late, former speedway owner Mr. Morgan Hughes.

Coming into the big Williams Grove Speedway World of Outlaws/Pennsylvania Posse match up, circuit favorite Donny Schatz of North Dakota leads the point standings with eight wins to date this season over Californian Brad Sweet
Locally at Williams Grove Speedway, Greg Hodnett of Spring Grove is leading the points over a close battle with Lucas Wolfe and TJ Stutts.
Winners to date this season at Williams Grove have been Lucas Wolfe, Ryan Taylor, Cory Haas, Lance Dewease, Brock Zearfoss and Aaron Ott. Dewease has been the only driver to repeat.
Outlaws winners in circuit competition aside from Schatz and Sweet have been Sheldon Haudenschild, David Gravel, Daryn Pittman, Cory Eliason and Aaron Reutzel.
